SCOTT FORESMAN AND TIE PARTNER TO HELP TEACHERS HELP STUDENTS TO MEET STATE READING STANDARDS - Scott/Foresman Envisions Investigation 2 Grade
Using CAMS, teachers will be able to access and score assessments, develop instructional plans aligned to Scott Foresman Reading resources, and base their instructional strategies on verified student need. "Our plan is to provide teachers in every school using the Scott Foresman Reading program with the ability to develop instructional plans based on the specific curriculum requirements of their states, said Paul McFall, President of Scott Foresman. "With the TIE software engine, teachers will be able to judge a student’s progress and immediately identify the aligned materials from our reading series."
William K. Friedel, President of TIE noted, "Our technology puts into place a system that gives teachers a practical way to implement and monitor an instructional program that meets the standards against which they and their students are evaluated." Commenting further on the partnership, McFall added, "As we reviewed the various instructional management programs, we found that the TIE system provided the most flexibility for teachers. It ties together all of the elements involved in the teaching and learning process to accomplish specific instructional goals. We look forward to a rewarding relationship with TIE as we work together to take advantage of new technologies to help educators more effectively manage the instructional process." Scott Foresman has initiated computerized alignments to the educational standards of 12 key states with its new CAMS program.
